Last Saturday, May 7, Furnish 123 was fortunate enough to participate in the Violet Crown Spring Festival as a sponsor! Violet Crown Community Works is a nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas, helping build and sustain community in Brentwood and Crestview by supporting neighborhood enhancement projects.
The Spring Festival featured arts and crafts vendors, family fun, children’s activities, live music, refreshments, and a very special event — the grand opening of the new farmer’s market: 6701 Burnet Road Market.
The event benefited an excellent cause, too: Urban Patchwork. Urban Patchwork is a Violet Crown-based non-profit CSA (community-support agriculture) dedicated to making local, natural food affordable and accessible for all of Austin. It was such an honor to be a part of such a fun and exciting community event!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our tent to say hi. We had a great time meeting you and look forward to seeing you all in the store! Don’t forget that the farmer’s market, 6701 Burnet Road Market, will be open Thursdays from 4 p.m to 8 p.m, and Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m next to door to Furnish 123. Stop by on Thursdays and Saturdays and support local farmers and artisans in Austin!
